The future of small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea was the topic of discussion at a regional conference held 7-9 March 2016 in Algiers, Algeria. The Regional Conference entitled “Building a future for sustainable small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea” was organized by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and FAO’s Fisheries and Aquaculture Department.
