Job Description:
Euroconsult Mott MacDonald is seeking to identify qualified Hydrologists, Dam specialists (e.g. with experience in one or more of the following areas: safety, geotechnics, hydromechanics, electrics, hydraulics & modelling, hydrometric instrumentation), Water Resources specialists (e.g. with experience in WR engineering, economics, hydrodynamics, irrigation & drainage, irrigated agriculture development, hydrogeology), Soil Scientists and Agricultural Planners, Socio-economist, Livestock, Social and Environmental experts.
The project is likely to start in September this year and to last for just over a year. Work will take place in the northwestern town of Sokoto and involve travel and work within the Sokoto-Rima River Basin area.Euroconsult Mott MacDonald and BMB Mott MacDonald are part of the Global Mott MacDonald Group. Candidate Specification:
The ideal candidates will need a mix of skills related to the above as well as experience of, and a desire to, work in rural Nigeria.Previous working experience of similar projects in Nigeria or other western African countries and of work under similar conditions, as well as very good knowledge of the political and economic climate in Nigeria is preferred.
